After living 10 minutes from the ocean for the last year and a half, and with only 2 more weeks left out here; sweetie and I actually caught a sunset at the beach tonight. It was a nice moment. We watched the sun sink into the Pacific and took a moment to reflect on our time out here. I know we will miss the beach walks and weather. It will be fun to look back at this time when we are older and laugh at our young selves. The conversation was as follows:
me: We will have a good story to tell the grand kids.
sweetie: "What did you do grandpa when you lived in California?"
both of us: "Watch TV!"
heehee Of course we did do a little more than that. Saw some nice places, learned how to live together for the first time, got engaged, bought our bronco, and adopted puppy. I'd say that's a pretty good stay in this crazy town!
Of course I did not have my camera... so no pictures of the sunset. Sorry! If we would have planned to see a sunset, then odds are we would have missed it any ways. =)
